Fund raising

My trip to Rwanda with Signpost International is fully paid for, but when we are there we will be undertaking a number of projects which themselves need funding. See the Rwanda Update post for details of the projects I will be doing. I hadn't realised I was meant to be fund raising until recently and now have very little time to organise anything before I go at the end of January. Please please please post ideas of what I might do sponsored event wise that I can use to raise money! It needs to be mildly challenging, but not ridiculous considering the time constraints.

I personally think a sponsored silence or sponsored stay off the internet for a week!!! Seriously though - since you are going to Africa - why not be sponsored to live on less that $2 (£1.30) a day for a week as far too many people have to survive on that. It would be a good eye-opener. (I liked that myself). Also someone was sponsored to build a mini-church out of lego for a baby to fit inside (and got loads). I didn't think of these I "borrowed" them!! Good luck

If we want to give money towards the total, do we give that to you or to them.

Is there any way we can use Gift Aid to add to the value for your support?
